Southwestern Indiana Home Educators (SWIHE) is a conglomeration of Christian homeschoolers in SW Indiana and its tri-state region who are loosely connected to support one another. We work to provide an annual convention each spring, a homeschool information day, and support for our community. SWIHE itself seldom holds meetings though our members have formed many support groups and teaching co-operatives, field trip groups, and have organized many other activities. We work to help families learn of the many, varied homeschool activities available in our area.
Active, involved parents are the key to every child’s educational success, wherever the children attend school.
If you decide to homeschool, we encourage you to get involved in our community. As you meet other families, you will find a great group of families and will learn a lot about homeschooling from them. If you have questions about getting started, please check out our website or call us. Our Steering Committee consists of volunteer families whose first priority is teaching our children. Please hold calls until the afternoon so we can teach our children. We look forward to meeting you in the future.
