Getting Started in Home Schooling...

So you want to home school. The first step is to comply with Wisconsin law by filing form PI-1206 with the state, which is very easy to do whether you are removing your child in the middle of the year or getting ready to home school in the fall.

Filing enrollment in home school with the state of Wisconsin is all done online now, and the day you receive online confirmation that  your form PI-1206 was submitted, you are able to remove your child(ren) from public school. Make sure to print a copy of the confirmation the DPI will send.

The Home Based Private Education Form can be found here:  https://dpi.wi.gov/sms/home-based
