High School Enrichment

Educational Enrichment courses are available through the State Center Community College District (SCCCD) for students in 10th thru 12th grades.  Younger students may be admitted with your school administrator's approval and meeting with the President of the College you would like your child to attend.

To view information about these courses, go to the website of your choice and click on "Current Students" --> "Special Programs" --> "Educational Enrichment"

The following SCCCD schools are available in the Central Valley:

Clovis Community College (www.cloviscollege.edu)

Fresno City College (www.fresnocitycollege.com)

Reedley College (www.reedleycollege.edu)

Madera Center (www.maderacenter.com)

Oakhurst Center (www.oakhurstcenter.com)

Students in the 11th and 12th grades who can benefit from advanced scholastic or vocational work can enroll in college courses and receive college credit through the Educational Enrichment Program.  Exceptions to this policy are outlined in the Educational Enrichment Application on the website.

A student may qualify for the program with a cumulative high school GPA of at least a 2.5, approval from the high school principal, a high school counselor, and a parent. All courses listed in the schedule are available to the Educational Enrichment student, providing these courses are not offered or are not generally available at the high school campus. However, students must meet all the necessary prerequisites for any course in which they wish to enroll. Students admitted to the program are treated as new SCCCD students each semester attended and must follow the time frame for new student registration. For more information, contact the Counseling Office at the campus or center you plan to enroll.

As of Fall 2008, tuition will be waived for students participating in the educational enrichment program.  Students are still responsible for paying the mandatory health fee each term.

High school students must begin the process with their high school counselor. A SCCCD Admissions Application along with an Educational Enrichment application, and a copy of the students high school transcripts are required before a student can register for classes.

Educational enrichment students need to complete an admissions application and an educational enrichment application packet (including updated transcripts) each semester.
