Parent Guide to Free Language Arts Lessons from IEW
Writing
Structure and Style for Students is our new video-based writing program. We are offering the first three lessons for grades 3–12 (Level A: Grades 3–5, Level B: Grades 6-8, Level C: Grades 9–12).
Level A can also be used for SPED students.
Grammar
Fix It! Grammar is our award-winning grammar program for students in grades 3–12.
We are providing the first three weeks of lessons in three different levels.
Vocabulary
Both Fix It! Grammar and Structure and Style for Students present vocabulary words embedded within the assignments.
In Structure and Style for Students, students are presented with vocabulary words each week. Students can write the definitions to those words in their notebooks.
Altogether, as many as eight vocabulary words are taught each week.
Poetry Memorization
Linguistic Development through Poetry Memorization is an optional course that introduces students to the beauty of language and literature. In learning and memorizing poetry, students learn sophisticated syntax and vocabulary as well as elocution skills. We are providing downloadable teacher’s manual, student pages, and the MP3 audio for the entire first level of the course.
While these times are indeed filled with much uncertainty, we hope to help you feel confident that you can continue to meet your students’ needs.

Easy Peasy All-in-One Homeschool K-9
Easy Peasy is a totally free online homeschool curriculum for preschool through ninth grade, generously shared by a homeschooling mom named Lee Giles. Methodology is an eclectic mix of traditional and "Charlotte Mason" with lapbooking and online resources. It uses real books, picture studies, copy work, and narration techniques, but it also has activity sheets and incorporates other online courses that are more traditionally designed.
