About CHOICE
CHOICE means...
Cooperation. We at CHOICE Homeschooling Cooperative take the name “cooperative” literally. Unlike many homeschool co-ops, we are not a drop-off program. We believe that you made the decision to homeschool so that you can be involved and invested in your child's education and character development. CHOICE Co-op affirms this approach by encouraging our moms to invest in other children’s lives, along with their own by teaching and leading in our classrooms. We believe this encourages the development of our Moms, too! We value the unique gifts that each of our moms bring to CHOICE, and have adapted the I Corinthians 12 approach; we are all unique parts of one body, the body of Christ.
Commitment. Another great aspect of CHOICE Homeschool Co-op is our commitment: our commitment to God, to one another, and to our students. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for our sins, and that when we commit ourselves to Him, He is Lord over all facets of our lives, through the Holy Spirit. We believe He is a relational God, and that we honor Him by loving and extending His grace to others. In practical terms, this means that none of our teachers or leaders receive any monetary compensation for their time investment. Our hope is that each parent will place the same emphasis and passion in teaching other’s children as they do their own.
This also means that during the 2 twelve-week semesters, our families are strongly encouraged to attend and fulfill their responsibilities for teaching, clean-up and other potential committee duties. We certainly understand when problems or illness arise, but we ask that arrangements be made in advance with other members to assist in your absence.
Community. Finally, what keeps our families coming back to CHOICE year after year is our sense of community. Not only do our kids look forward to Fridays at CHOICE, but we moms do, as well! We offer 4-5 classes per semester for each age group, ranging from cooking to math, history, logic, biology, PE, art, choir, speech, literature, Spanish and dance. Each year, our families anxiously anticipate our Spring musical,
