HEY Days

HEY Days, which are held at a local park the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month, provide our children opportunity to meet and play with friends, and our parents a time for fellowship and sharing.  Member meeting during provide information and updates of events, field trips, community events, and relevant legislative information.

During HEY Days, Physical Activity Classes (PAC) will also be available. For an additonal fee of $30, your child will learn the basics of a varitey of sports such as basketball, volleyball, capture the flag, softball, pickleball, dodgeball, and more.  Students are divided up by age group, 3-5 year olds, 6-8 year olds, 9-12 year olds, and teens.  Each class runs approximately one hour.

Generally, HEY Day meetings will begin at 10:00am on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month starting in September and ending in May. The organized, Board led meetings will end at 10:45 with a 15 min break  during PAC classes.

During the break members will have time for sharing, a sort of show and tell. In the past, we have had a former homeschool graduate give a demonstration on hot air balloons, a commercial fisherman, and what it is like to be a homeschooler in Sweden. We welcome and encourage member input and the board will not be responsible for filling this time. We rely on members to fill this time of sharing with what you feel is interesting.  If you have an idea, please share your idea with the HEY President so he or she can get it scheduled. After the break we will end our meeting  and the PAC classes will resume. The rest of our time can be spent visiting, sharing, and encouraging one another. We also encourage members to pray for one another and to share any particular needs or prayer request.
