Statement of Faith
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is divine revelation and the inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original manuscripts. Its teaching is the final authority for all Christian life in matters of faith and practice.
2 Timothy 3:16, Revelation 22:18-19
We believe in the unity of the Godhead, eternally existing in three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and yet identical in nature; all-powerful, all-knowing, everywhere present, and unchangeable; infinitely perfect in love, truth, righteousness, justice, goodness, grace, and mercy.
John 1:1-18, Genesis 1:26
All humanity is in violation of God’s righteous requirements and His holy character, both by nature and act; and is therefore under His wrath and just condemnation. The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man’s sin through His substitutionary death on the cross – the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His subsequent visible bodily resurrection.
Romans 3:10, 23 – Romans 6:23
Salvation is offered as a free gift; free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works, but the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone!
Ephesians 2:8-9
God forbids pagan practices such as witchcraft, fortune telling, casting spells, consulting with familiar spirits, interpreting omens, and contacting the dead.
Deuteronomy 18:10-12
Sexual relations in the context of marriage between a man and a woman are a blessing from God. All other sexual relations are forbidden.
Leviticus 18:6-30
We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life.
Psalms 139
We believe that after Jesus ascended to Heaven, He poured out His Holy Spirit on believers, enabling them to fulfill His command to preach the Gospel to the entire world, an obligation shared by all believers today.
Mathew 28:19, John 20:17
We believe that only those who receive Jesus Christ by faith are forgiven. Faith alone is the condition of salvation, but good works and righteous living should accompany such faith and furnish evidence of its existence.
Ephesians 2:8, James 2:17
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells and seals every believer. The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ and, during this age, to convince men of sin, regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and service. We believe all Christians should witness for Christ in His power and study the Bible with His help.
2 Timothy 3:16-18, John 14:26
We believe that God created each of us as a reflection of himself and with a purpose to further his kingdom. Each person, no matter their ability, was created uniquely for this purpose.
