Our group currently has all ages, and much of our programming works well with multi-age groups. However, based on participant interest, we do also offer targeted progamming for "Acorns" (toddler-early elementary ages), "Saplings" (up to aged 10), "Oaks" (into teens/early high school), and "Grand Oaks" (young adult).

Q:

What classes do you offer?

A:

Specific activities and classes are determined each year by the needs and desires of the families involved.  Our programing tends to focus on enrichment and exploration instead of academics.

Q:

Are parents required to volunteer?

A:

We invite parents to contribute as they are willing and able, based on their skills, interests, and availability.  While we have no strict requirements for volunteering, we ask that a parent stay on the grounds and enjoy the community, and be available for your child/ren as needed.

Q:

How much does it cost to join this group?

A:

As a co-op run by volunteer parents we are able to keep costs low. Each semester we collect a flat family fee that ranges from $40-60, depending on the group's needs. Some classes and outings are a la carte and may include an extra fee for teachers, materials, etc.

Q:

How do I join Nashville Waldorf Homeschoolers?

A:

You can request to join from this website or email nashwaldorf@gmail.com and tell us a little bit about yourself. We like to chat with families ahead of time so that we can get to know each other and so that you can see whether or not the group is a good fit for your family and answer any questions we can about homeschooling in the Nashville area.
