Statement of Faith

  1. God alone is sovereign. The Bible is His only inerrant, inspired Word and the final authority. (1 Chronicles 29:11; Job 42:1-2; Psalm 24:1; Isaiah 64:8; Matthew 5:18; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)
  2. There is only one true God. He is eternally existing as three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 42:1; Jeremiah 10:10; Matthew 3:16-17; 28:18-20; John 1:1-5, 14; 10:30; 14:16-20; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 4:4-6; Revelation 1:8)
  3. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, born of a virgin and lived among men without sin as a perfect man and perfect God. The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to fulfill all prophecy and to pay the price for man's sin through His death on the cross. Salvation is offered as a free gift to us through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not through works. Jesus is the only way to the Father. (Matthew 5:17; John 14:6; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Timothy 2:5-6; Hebrews 4:14-15)
  4. We believe all men are in violation of God's righteous requirements and His holy character both by nature and by act. We are therefore under His wrath and just condemnation. The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the price for man's sin through His substitutionary death on the cross, the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His subsequent visible, bodily resurrection and ascension to the right hand of the Father.   5. We believe there is eternity with God in heaven for believers and there is a true hell, separation from God for eternity, for those who do not believe in Jesus and accept Him as their personal Savior. (Luke 16:19-26; John 5:24-29; 14:1-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; 1 Peter 1:3-9; 2 Peter 3:7; Revelation 21:1-8)
  6. The Biblical model for marriage is the physical, spiritual, and legal union between one man and one woman. (Genesis 2:23-24; Leviticus 18:22; Ephesians 5:21-33)
