Do you have board games that you have outgrown or just don’t play? Would you love a way to try something new without investing any money??

Now there is a way…. 

“The Great Game Exchange!”

How the Great Game Exchange works:

• You will bring in board games, drop them off for swap, be given vouchers for games of equal value, and then choose different board games to take home.
• First, You will print out the tags to go on each game you bring. You will need to affix it to your game box with painter’s tape for easy removal.
• Games MUST have all pieces included. (This includes directions. If you do not have directions in your game, please print out a copy to include from online. Boardgamegeek.com is a great resource for this.
• NO: video games, puzzles, STEM kits, or manipulatives

GAME DROP-OFF: 
(Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 10:00am-2:00pm)

Bring in all of your unwanted games to the Great Game Exchange. Your games will be evaluated for value based on these criteria:

• Game titles will be searched on Amazon and matched with the lowest available purchase price (as a NEW item).
• Games NOT on Amazon will be searched for other shop venues, such as Target, Walmart, etc. (Please note that Amazon prices are the primary price venue. This will only be used for those items that are exclusives to other stores.)
• Games that are vintage that are no longer in print will be priced against the most RECENT sell price on eBay.
• Games will be deducted $5 in value if they are not in the original box.

• • Games will be dropped off at Northwood Baptist Church in the Social Hall between 10:00am-2:00pm.
  • Your games will be valued while you wait.
  • You will receive a “shopping voucher slip” for each game you drop off.
  • YOU MUST HAVE YOUR VOUCHER SLIP TO SELECT GAMES. 

Voucher values:

THE GREAT GAME EXCHANGE EVENT:

• The Great Game Exchange will be Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 4:00pm -6:00pm.
• When you arrive, all games will be sorted onto tables based on their voucher values.
• The vouchers you received will allow you to select new games from tables with games of equal values. YOU MUST HAVE YOUR VOUCHER SLIP TO SELECT GAMES. PLEASE KEEP THEM IN A SAFE PLACE. (There will not be a record.)
  • You may select new games from tables that match your voucher value. Ex. You must select a $20 game with a $20 voucher, etc. This ensures that each person dropping off games will leave with an equal number of games.
    • You may NOT combine vouchers to shop up
    • You may NOT select multiple games from lower priced tables that equal the value of your voucher.

IMPORTANT:

• There is no guarantee of what games will be available when you arrive to make your selections. You will have to select based on what is available with your voucher values.
• At 6:00pm, doors will be closed. Any games remaining will be donated.

FEE:

• Each participating family is required to make a minimum donation of $2, in cash. If you feel led to donate more, that would be amazing! 100% of fees collected will be given to Northwood Baptist Church as a donation for allowing us to use their facilities for the Great Game Exchange.
• Please bring cash in the exact amount of your donation. We will not be able to make change.
