Hi there! Our family’s home school journey began nearly three years ago at Thrive’s inaugural year and we are so thankful to be a part of this community. I am very excited to be bringing “Violin Revolution- Intro to Violin” to the Thrive community in the upcoming year. It is going to be an absolute blast!

I have been playing the violin since age 5 and have performed professionally for 30 years. I love playing all different kinds of music (Bach to rock- LOL) and love sharing the joy of music with others. Along with performing, I have also taught violin for three decades. My teaching philosophy is to build a strong foundation of skill while also inspiring the student to explore the many reasons why music is so special, including to create, connect, and communicate.

I received a B.M. in Music Performance from USC, an M.M. in Music Performance from Manhattan School of Music, and attended UCLA for DMA (Doctorate of Musical Arts) courses. Locally, I have performed in the San Diego Symphony, the Pacific Symphony, the San Diego Opera, and La Jolla Summerfest, as well as on numerous concert series. My musical passion currently includes finding fun, interesting, and engaging ways to connect, heal, and empower people through music.

I am really looking forward to inspiring the next group of young musicians through learning to play the violin as well as contributing to the joyful culture at Thrive!
