FAQs
Q: |
What Covid mitigation strategies are CRHC following? |
A: |
Because of the lack of reliable data we’re eliminating our current overall COVID restriction policies. We continue to strongly support individual teachers and event organizers to set their own masking policies. We will monitor the availability of data and, if it becomes more reliable/more frequently updated, will reinstate our previous policies as they match the CDC recommendations |
Q: |
What sort of classes, activities, and opportunities do you offer? |
A: |
CRHC is a community driven group -- members are encouraged to teach, lead, and organize the events they would like to see. The Governance Committee holds weekly Park Days and maintains the infrastructure (like this site) for members to meet, collaborate, and share. Typical offerengs include sessions focused on a particular educational concept once a week over the course of several weeks, one time art classes or guest speakers, a family social night, and field trips to local attractions. Academic, enrichment, and social events are all encouraged. |
Q: |
Where does CRHC meet? |
A: |
We meet at various locations throughout the city including parks, members' homes, and city institutions -- whatever meets the needs for the specific activity. While most offerings are city based, there are occasionally events outside the city limits like hiking / camping / field trips sorts of experiences that we do not get in an urban setting. |
Q: |
What does it cost? |
A: |
There is currently no cost associated with membership. Classes and other events may have a charge. Some offerings may run as a pay-what-you-can, others may have a small scholarship-type fund. We make every effort to not turn folks away for lack of funds; you are always welcome to email us if you have any questions or concerns. |
Q: |
How do I join CRHC? |
A: |
Meet us at a Park Day (or email us to set up another time if those don't work for your family) and click "Join" at the top of your screen. We look forward to building community with you! |
