Fellowship Together

Every other week, we meet at local parks for relaxed play time and a picnic lunch.

Play Together

We frequently meet for organized games and activities the hour before group begins.

    Learn Together

Once a month, we do an educational activity or go on a field trip.

    Celebrate Together

Once a month, we have a special event like a Festival, Game Day, or a Cookout.

    About Us

We are a homeschool social group with the goal of building lifelong friendships for our children and parents. We meet year-round on Fridays from 12pm to 3pm at various locations. The majority of our outings are in or near Caldwell County (specifically the Lenoir, Hudson, and Granite Falls areas), Morganton, Valdese, and the Forest Hills area of Hickory. Our weekly meetups involve a mixture of exploring and hiking together, picnics at the park, open-ended free play, tours, games, and crafts. We also plan special events like parties, competitions, game days, talent shows, and mom’s nights.

    Requirements:

    • Attendance: Attend at least half of the meetups for the majority of the time. The same parent must bring the children each week.
    • Fees: $60 per family per year: $25 fall term, $25 spring term, $10 summer term. Some events have additional fees, but participation is optional.
    • Schedule: Holidays are taken for: New Years, Good Friday, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Events are scheduled once a month instead of meetups, and are open to all members after the first term. A calendar will be included in the interest meeting confirmation.
    • Code of Conduct: good attitude, good behaviour, participate, socialize, stay off phones, etc.
    • Dress Code: dress modestly in clothing appropriate to the activity.
    • Parents do not have to teach, but must participate and socialize. Planning is required if you choose to participate in events.

    Eligibility Overview

    • Christians following a conservative Christian lifestyle.
    • Homeschooling a child ages six to fourteen for six months or more.
    • Live in Caldwell or an adjoining County.

New members are added twice a year, at the start of the fall and spring terms. Interested families should complete the form on our public home page to be notified of the next interest meeting. Registered families will receive details of the upcoming interest meeting and open houses at least six weeks in advance. The interest meeting will introduce you to our group and go over our guidelines and policies. The open houses are an opportunity for you and your children to meet some of our group members and observe a typical gathering of our group. Families must attend both an interest meeting and an open house before completing an application. We will admit those families who we feel are the best fit for our current group's needs. Priority will be given to long time homeschooling stay-at-home moms who live in Caldwell County.

For more information please read over Joining Process. Complete this form to be notified of the next interest meeting. You are welcome to e-mail us with any questions or concerns.
