Q:

How does a day at the Lighthouse Homeschool Co-op work?

A:

Lighthouse seeks to offer both Academic classes and Enrichment classes. Enrichment classes allow families looking for extracurricular activities to be able to come without the stress of homework and additional requirements to their week. The Academic classes serve as an alternative to certain classes at home or in the community. We seek to have a mixture of both offerings with the goal of being a blessing to mamas and their kiddos.

Q:

Who can participate in the Lighthouse Homeschool Co-op?

A:

Our co-op is for Christian Homeschoolers. Membership into Lighthouse Homeschool Co-Op is only granted to those who have been referred by a current member. The current member must provide confirmation of referral and be able to provide a reference as to character, values and basic beliefs. Please enter in the name of the current member who referred you on this form under Message to Homeschool Group Administrator. Classes will be available to grades PK-12 BASED ON AVAILABILITY and parent/teacher participation. Q:

What is the schedule of the Lighthouse Homeschool Co-op?

A:

Our morning will begin at 9:30am with a time of worship and Assembly. We will have a family presentation, pledge to the bible and the flag. Classes begin at the 10am hour and are 55 minutes long, leaving five minutes for students to get to their next class. There are additional classes at 11am and 1pm taking our lunch break between 12-1pm.

Q:

What is the cost of Lighthouse Homeschool Co-op?

A:

· Each class has its own cost determined by the teacher. Costs are almost always material-only costs. Classes can be as little as $10 per student or as much as $75.

· We take up a LOVE offering for the church once per year. The church that is hosting us is not charging us to be there so the love offering is important.

· There is a $10 annual website fee that each family pays.

· There is no registration fee at this time. I hope to keep it that way.

· We will provide a co-op supply list to every registered family and will be taking donations for said consumables.

· There are a limited number of partial scholarships available. A family may only inquire for a scholarship once per year. We expect families to prepare for class costs accordingly. Most teachers are open to trades. Please contact Kevin Raynor to inquire/apply.
