Mrs. Susi Wheeler To All Instructors

Greetings! ¡Saludos! - I'm Susi Wheeler, a Spanish teacher, with a Masters in Spanish Linguistics from ASU. I have 20 years of teaching experience Spanish; 10 years specifically in junior high and highschool, 5 years teaching undergrads at ASU with 4 of the years at the private school Tesseract, 3 years at Paradise Valley Christian Prep and 2 years at Adams Traditional Academy.

My teaching style is engaging interactive, artistic, playful and fun so learning is incidental but effective. I use songs, games, art and role play. Homework will consist of spelling practice, drawings, making games and doing fun activities online. Class time provides lots of listening activities like playing BINGO, circular questioning to get in lots of repetition, fill in the blanks for song lyrics and lots of fun Spanish videos made for older students. The goal is to master small Spanish expressions and phrases that require almost no effort to recall, understand and produce.
