Additional Information
All San Diego area homeschoolers in grades four through eight are invited to compete in the San Diego County Homeschoolers' GeoBee. This is a great opportunity for your students! Staying poised enough to make an educated guess when you're stumped is a valuable lifelong skill! Classroom level rounds of the competition all begin with United States geography questions.
The winner of our "school-level" competition will arrange with Cec Chafin to take a 1-hour, 70-question multiple choice test. The completed test is then sent to the National Geographic Society in Washington, D.C. The kids with the top 100 scores from each state are then invited to the state-level competition in April.
The ENTIRE "school-level" competition for San Diego County homeschoolers--from the preliminary "classroom-level" rounds through the final "school championship" rounds--will be held on the same date.
There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
