A Literature Based Approach to Education
Carole Joy Seid, is a veteran home school mother, who has a B.A. in fine arts and a master’s degree in education. She has taught in both public and Christian schools, spoken at numerous conventions and presently does educational consulting for families across the country. At the core of her philosophy is the secret to educational success: great books, great books and more great books.
In this all-day seminar, you'll hear research based ideas for a simplified approach to homeschooling that is inexpensive and enjoyable. Carole Joy Seid and her son, J. J. Seid, will teach this seminar.
They'll begin the day teaching how to develop a philosophy of education. In the second workshop, you'll learn how to make your child a lover of books. The third session covers how to teach history using classical literature. At the end of the day, you'll learn how to create your own curriculum.
Each attendee will receive corresponding booklists: Developing a Philosophy of Education, Make Your Child a Lover of Books, Teach History Using Classical Literature, Church History, and Creating Curriculum.

Cost: $55 by April 19 (spouse and teens attend for no extra charge)
