Welcome and thank you for taking an interest in our co-op. 

The purpose of Oxford Christian Academy is to provide a safe place for moms and kids to create lasting, meaningful relationships, have fun learning together, and to grow in our Christian faith while praying and encouraging each other in our journeys. Romans 1:12.

We are a conservative Christian group of home educators in Southern Chester County, Pennsylvania and Cecil County, Maryland. The majority of our students currently range from kindergarten through ninth grade. We typically meet 1-2 times a week for art, drama, educational field trips, fun days, and sports. We also have moms' night out, a prayer group and bible studies to fellowship together. 

OCA events are organized by parents - each family is expected to contribute to planning and assisting with field trips, events, parties, etc... throughout the year.

Statement of Faith

We have a biblical worldview at Oxford Christian Academy including the following statement of faith:  We believe:

• The Bible is inspired, infallible and the complete word of God (2 Tim. 3:16).
• There is one eternally existent God in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Gen. 1:1, John 10:30).
• The deity of Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died an atoning death, rose again, is seated at the Father’s right hand, and will return again (John 10:33, Isaiah 7:14, 1 Corinthians 15:3, John 11:25, Mark 16:19, Acts 1:11). 
• That man is by nature and practice a sinner separated from God and can become God’s child only by faith in Jesus Christ by His grace (John 3:16-19).
• Those who are thus born into God’s family have eternal life, and those who are not, remain in spiritual death and will be separated from God forever in hell (John 28:29).
• That the Holy Spirit lives in the believer and enables him to walk in purity of life and submission to the will of God and that we are united in Christ (Romans 8:9). 
• That marriage is the uniting of one biological male and one biological female and that sexual intimacy is only for a man and a woman who are married (Gen. 2:18-25, 1 Corinthians 6:18). 
• That man is created in the image of God, formed by God and that life begins at conception. (Gen. 1:27, Gen. 2:7, Psalm 139:13-16, Exodus 20:13). 
• That God immutably created each person as either male or female according to their biological sex. These two distinct yet complimentary genders together reflect the nature and image of God (Gen. 1:26-27). 

Our statement of faith is not exhaustive of all of our beliefs. The Bible, as the inspired and infallible word of God, speaks with absolute authority regarding the proper conduct of mankind and is the unchanging foundation for all belief and behavior. The Oxford Christian Academy founders make final interpretation on biblical meanings and application with regard to faith, doctrine, policy, curriculum, practice and discipline. 

Here at OCA we do not discriminate on race, ethnicity or religion. This co-op was founded upon biblical principles. Teachers must adhere to our statement of faith, serve as examples of the Christian lifestyle, modeling for our students a life that is dedicated to honoring God and all they do and say.
