Who We Are
John Paul the Great Home Educators is a Roman Catholic home school support group serving the Greater Dayton, OH area whose mission is to provide support and fellowship to Catholic families engaged in the home education of their children in the greater Dayton area.
Statement of Faith
We believe in those truths held by the Roman Catholic Church in accordance with its dogmas and its infallible Magisterium approved and put forth by the Roman Pontiff.
Our Vision
The vision of JPGHE is to build a community where parents are able to fulfill their vocations as primary educators of their children.
What We Offer
Throughout the year our families participate many activities that build community among the children and parents as well as providing hands on educational experiences including, but not limited to:
- Book clubs for children and teens
- Field trips
- Nature exploration
- Park “Pray and Plays”
- Weekly enrichment co-ops for preschool through tenth grade
Annual events include:
- Kid’s Business Fair
- Saint's Feast Day Parties
- All Saints Day
- St. Patrick's Day
- etc.
- Science Fair
- Summer Baseball
Membership
General membership is open to Catholic home educators primarily in the greater Dayton area and those who support the purpose of JPGHE. General membership requires the submission of signed membership forms, a yearly (pro-rated) dues, and participation in activities as detailed in the JPGHE Handbook.
