Nikki Provost To All Instructors
In this class we will be learning the basics of successful gardening. Students will learn how to prepare soil, how to naturally amend soil, how to select plants according to soil, water, and climate needs. They will learn how to care for gardens, how to encourage pollinators and many more fun things to set them up for success with gardening. This class is a hands on class. Every day of class students will be taking something home to use in their own garden — compost bins, worm farms, pollinator gardens, microgreens, seedlings, bulbs, potato sacks, and more! So, it would be great if the students could have a gardening space at home — a small area in the yard, a raised bed, or even some container gardens to practice all the skills they are learning. Grades 1-5.
