Kelli Hare
My education: My name is Kelli Hare. I have been homeschooling since my 22 year old was going into second grade. I have a Texas teaching degree from Sam Houston State University, and I taught in public schools for fiive years, prior to having our firstborn. In those five years I taught in Coldspring, TX, 4th grade (was invited by the 3rd grade team to join their team the following year and halfway into that year, my husband took a job up in Plano) I actually was able to land a job teaching 5th grade the rest of that second year of teaching in LISD and was in 5th grade for 3 more years when I decided to be a stay-at-home mom with our firstborn. I attribute my love of math to my wonderful high school teachers, Mr. Plotts (sidenote: I was Who's Who in Geometry thanks to Mr. Plotts) and Coach Rigby. They were amazing teachers whose passion for teaching and math inspired me to take the path of Specialization in Elementary Math. As my children became a little older, I joined N-Tech in Allen, and I was delighted to accept the PreAlgebra class and then the HS Geometry class within just a few years. I have been teaching at N-Tech for 12 years; however, this is my last year there due to my highschooler not having classes he needs offered there for next year and due to the 30 plus minute drive to Allen. I was introduced to Hope Prep last year and was delighted to accept the Geometry class this year. It is just ten minutes way from home which is really nice. My desire is to hopefully pass on some of my passion for math to the students who enter my class.
My family- My husband of 28 years and I met in college. We have 3 biological sons. Our eldest, Caleb, is finishing up his 4 years in the Navy. He is married to a lovely lady, Hailey. Samuel graduates this year from Founders Classical Academy (he and Caleb both chose in middle school to change course to public school, and FCA has been a great fit for them both). Joseph used to be our youngest, and he has plans to graduate early next year. We adopted our 3 year old, Josiah, over a year ago after fostering him at 6 days old. we call him our "Bonus" boy. He is a delight to our family and is super smart. I am truly blessed by God with these great boys.
I look forward to meeting your and your teen this coming year.

Paige Malone
I majored in Family Studies and Child Psychology at Texas Tech University. My husband and I have been married 35 years as of May 2024. We began homeschooling our two boys when they were still in elementary and continued through graduation. It was the best decision as they have thrived! Our older son graduated from Texas Tech University in May 2022 with a degree in Kinesiology & Sports Medicine and will finish his Master's degree May of 2025! Our younger son is a Senior at Tennessee Tech University majoring in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Vehicle/Automotive Engineering. He will graduate with his Bachelor's degree in May 2025!
2024-2025 will be my 10th year at HOPE Prep (although I have homeschooled students - not just mine - for over 18 years), and I absolutely love it! There is something special about meeting a child where they are in their education, encouraging and helping them navigate through challenging concepts and being a part of their progress. Math and science are my ministry, and it excites me to see how those two subjects are prevalent in God's creation.
In my earlier years (1995 and 1996), my husband and I served as short-term missionaries in Russia…an amazing experience! When I’m not teaching, my favorite hobbies are running long distance, chillin' with my hubby, sketching, reading, and learning new things. My favorite half-marathon was my husband’s gift to me for my 50th birthday which was running across the Golden Gate Bridge at the San Francisco Marathon.
It is a pleasure and honor to be a part of your child’s life as their teacher at HOPE Prep. I look forward to meeting you and your student!
