Welcome to JUBILEE

If this is your first time finding us, hello!

Vision

JUBILEE Christian Homeschool Families aims to provide encouragement, Christian Support and prayer for families who home educate.

about us

Who We Are

JUBILEE is a unique group in that we are a support group and not a co-op, which means the focus stays on encouraging one another as fellow Christian Homeschoolers. The basic framework allows moms to interact and build relationships while their children participate in sports, field trips, and other activities with their friends. JUBILEE provides a platform where people have opportunities to socialize and interact with each other in a casual astmosphere and gives people the flexibility to do that in a variety of ways.

Where & When We Meet

  • Forest Lake area

  • Thursdays, 9:00am–12:00pm

  • September–May

JUBILEE meets in the Forest Lake area on most Thursdays from approximately 9:00am –12:00pm, beginning in September and ending in May of each school year.

For the first and last 6 weeks (or so) of sports JUBILEE typically meets outside at a local park. The rest of the year we meet inside.

Sports

Group sports include activities such as soccer, basketball, floor hockey, and gym games for ages five through the twelfth grade. Occasionally, opportunities for field trips and classes in art, geography, music, etc., are organized by members of the group based upon an individual member’s desire to lead or organize such events. Children 4 & under are welcome to join their family to watch and socialize.

Families are welcome and encouraged to come and socialize for the full 3 hours, even though their students are not playing sports the entire time

9:00am–10:00am

Group 1: age 11+

10:00am–11:00am

Group 2: ages 9–11

11:00am–noon

Group 3: ages 5–9

Volunteering

Members are required to volunteer a certain amount each semester. There are a variety of ways that the moms (or dads) contribute to help the group run smoothly, some are required, while others are not. This can include doing clean up afterwards, organizing activities like field trips, yearbook, hosting mom's nights, leading a sport session, being a helper/behavior monitor during sports, etc. Some are able to help out more than others, everyone is able, equipped, and expected to contribute to the group. Typically, the more you invest yourself in a group the more you will get out of it.
