The Grove Christian Academy, was founded by the Arizona homeschool visionaries Christine Stauffer and Sara Tople. Known affectionately as the dynamic duo within the homeschool circles, Christine and Sara have dedicated nearly two decades to developing invaluable resources and programs for homeschooling families across Arizona.
In 2013, Christine and Sara launched the Branches Homeschool Community, which has grown to become the largest homeschool co-op in Arizona. Branches offers a weekly enrichment and community class day for homeschoolers from birth through high school. In addition to the educational programs, Branches provides numerous social activities, such as mom's night out, mother-son night, and the highly anticipated Fall Formal Dance. The co-op has expanded to seven campuses throughout the Phoenix Metro area, from the far west to the far east valley, serving over 2,000 children and 500 families.
Christine and Sara also organize The Arizona Homeschool Prom, an annual event that consistently sells out, drawing a crowd of over 300 enthusiastic students.
Beyond their direct contributions through The Grove Christian Academy and Branches, Christine and Sara have previously served on various homeschool co-op boards and advisory councils. They are well-known for their willingness to assist and mentor other homeschool group founders, sharing their expertise and passion for homeschooling.
Christine Stauffer
Christine is an accomplished graduate of Grand Canyon University, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Accounting. Before founding The Grove and Branches, she held the prestigious position of Chief Financial Officer at the innovative tech company. In addition to her professional achievements, Christine is a dedicated mother of four homeschooled children and has been happily married for 28 years, balancing her family life with her successful career.
Sara Tople
Sara grew up on a farm in South Dakota that has been in her family for 4 generations. She graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Elementary Education with an early childhood and science specialization. Sara taught 5th and 6th grade at ANLC for several years before staying home to raise and homeschool her four children. Two years ago,she also started a tutoring business, Top Tutoring and Educational Services. Sara is a lifelong learner and enjoys helping students reach their goals and succeed.
