Inspiring Bible Verses

Deu 6:6-9 ESV

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.  (7)  You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.  (8)  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.  (9)  You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

Psa 1:1-3 ESV

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;  (2)  but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.  (3)  He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

Psa 127:3-5 ESV

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.  (4)  Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth.  (5)  Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

Pro 4:1-27 ESV

Hear, O sons, a father's instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight,  (2)  for I give you good precepts; do not forsake my teaching.  (3)  When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother,  (4)  he taught me and said to me, “Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live.  (5)  Get wisdom; get insight; do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth.  (6)  Do not forsake her, and she will keep you; love her, and she will guard you.  (7)  The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.  (8)  Prize her highly, and she will exalt you; she will honor you if you embrace her.  (9)  She will place on your head a graceful garland; she will bestow on you a beautiful crown.”  (10)  Hear, my son, and accept my words, that the years of your life may be many.  (11)  I have taught you the way of wisdom; I have led you in the paths of uprightness.  (12)  When you walk, your step will not be hampered, and if you run, you will not stumble.  (13)  Keep hold of instruction; do not let go; guard her, for she is your life.  (14)  Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of the evil.  (15)  Avoid it; do not go on it; turn away from it and pass on.  (16)  For they cannot sleep unless they have done wrong; they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble.  (17)  For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.  (18)  But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day.  (19)  The way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know over what they stumble.  (20)  My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings.  (21)  Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart.  (22)  For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh.  (23)  Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.  (24)  Put away from you crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you.  (25)  Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.  (26)  Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure.  (27)  Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.

Pro 6:20-22 ESV

My son, keep your father's commandment, and forsake not your mother's teaching.  (21)  Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck.  (22)  When you walk, they will lead you; when you lie down, they will watch over you; and when you awake, they will talk with you.

Pro 13:20 ESV

Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm.

Pro 22:6 ESV

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Isa 54:13 ESV

All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.

Mat 7:24-27 ESV

“Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.  (25)  And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.  (26)  And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.  (27)  And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

Luk 6:39-40 ESV

He also told them a parable: “Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?  (40)  A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.

1Co 15:33 ESV

Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”

2Co 10:3-7 ESV

For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.  (4)  For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.  (5)  We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,  (6)  being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.  (7)  Look at what is before your eyes. If anyone is confident that he is Christ's, let him remind himself that just as he is Christ's, so also are we.

Eph 6:1-4 ESV

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.  (2)  “Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise),  (3)  “that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land.”  (4)  Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

2Ti 2:14-18 ESV

Remind them of these things, and charge them before God not to quarrel about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers.  (15)  Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.  (16)  But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness,  (17)  and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,  (18)  who have swerved from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already happened. They are upsetting the faith of some.

3Jn 1:4 ESV

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
