WHY DO WE HAVE DUES?
Eastside Explorers has been actively supporting homeschooling families since 1989. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization, registered with the Arizona Corporation Commission.
The dues we collect from each family are necessary to cover insurance on each event we sponsor. This substantial insurance policy is required for facilities rentals for events at venues such as churches and locations owned by the City of Scottsdale.
Additionally, dues pay for our website maintenance fees and room rentals for special events. As a non-profit organization, we seek only to cover our costs.
Occasionally a fundraiser may be initiated to benefit seasonal parties, provide member scholarships and/or provide items needed for service projects.
Annual dues are the only necessary monetary commitment required by each family in order to benefit substantially from membership in Eastside Explorers. There are opportunities, however, for field trips and occasional special events in which an additional fee is necessary.
