FAQS

Where does Eastside Explorers primarily meet?

Our activities are held in Scottsdale and northeast Phoenix. Our PE  class and park days are held at Desert Horizon Park (56th @ Paradise). Field trips are scheduled around the valley.

What activities can I expect in Eastside Explorers?

Eastside Explorers is completely volunteer-led. These events are typically offered each year, depending on the level of volunteer help to organize each event:

  • Field trips
  • Mom’s Nights Out
  • Park Days
  • Holiday Parties
  • Science Fair, History Fair, Art Fair & Talent Show
  • Fall Kick-Off
  • God’s Girls (girls ages 9-13)
  • Teen group
  • Yearbook
  • Family Fun Events (for the whole family)

Do you have age-specific activities?

Homeschooling is a multi-generational adventure!  Most of our activities and events can be attended by all ages, however we do have a few activities that are age-specific.

Do you have a teen group?

All of our activities are open to teens and we encourage them to participate and be a positive role model to our younger members.  We plan a monthly teen event, hosted by parents of the teens.

What do you mean when you say you are a "Christ-centered" group?

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, inerrant, and infallible word of God, and the supreme and final authority in our lives. We believe that Jesus is the Christ, our only hope for redemption and eternal life.  We strive to live for Him and allow Him to live through us.

Are there other homeschool groups in the area?

There are many support groups in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Please see our Other Support Group Info page for more information.
