 PACHEK Elementary Homeschool Spelling Bee

Calling all homeschool families and homeschool groups/co-ops!!

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Journey Church in Hopkinsville, Ky, PACHEK (Pennyroyal Area Christian Home Educators of Kentucky) will be hosting an area-wide Elementary Homeschool Spelling Bee.

1st, 2nd, & 3rd place trophies will be awarded in the 1st-3rd and 4th-5th grade category.

Every participating bee student will receive a participation ribbon.

There will be 3 judges from the Hopkinsville community area that are unaffiliated with PACHEK to judge the bee.

A time for photos and light refreshments to be served will follow immediately afterwards.

Required dress for spelling bee participants is modest Sunday/Church formal.

Christlike competition behavior will be expected.

Once your group is signed up on the website, your leader will be emailed an invoice for payment. Once payment is recieved, the leader will be emailed the link to the full spelling list and a student link to share with each participating family. This link is to a form for each student and needs to be filled out properly by parents in order for the student to participate.

Spelling Bee registration will not be official until payment is received. In order for any students to participate in the Spelling Bee the student link MUST be submitted before November 15,2024. Any student links submitted after the time stamp of November 15, 2024 will be rejected.

Participating students must be registered with their local board of education as homeschool students and must be registered into the Spelling Bee grade category that they would officially be in the public school system by that school year. 

Upon receipt of payment, the homeschool group, co-op, or family will receive access to the word list. 

All words used in the Spelling Bee on April 22, 2025 will be on the word list. 

Distribute these to each of your students as you wish.

Price per Homeschool groups/co-ops-50$ per group.

(up to 50 students enrolled in the group/co-op)

Price per individual homeschool families-25$ per family

(individual families not affiliated with a participating homeschool group)

PACHEK STUDENTS- ZERO COST

All student registrations must be entered on the PACHEK Website Calendar and payment must be recieved received by November 15, 2024 and student links must be submitted by November 15, 2024 in order to compete on April 22.
