Young Entrepreneurship Day

Free Range Learning Cooperative, Inc. is hosting Young Entrepreneurship Day, an event open to students ages 5 and up. This initiative is part of our ongoing effort to cultivate creativity, innovation, and leadership among young learners. Limited adult vendor spots are also available to support the event and encourage community participation.

Young Entrepreneurship Day is a dynamic platform designed to encourage and showcase student entrepreneurship. Participants will have the opportunity to create, display, and sell their products or services to the community. The event will feature booths run by young entrepreneurs, highlighting their unique talents and business ideas. In addition to shopping, attendees will engage with local talent and support budding entrepreneurs.

Young Entrepreneurship Day will take place on March 1st.

Last day to sign-up, as a vendor is***February 21st***

This one-day event will provide a valuable opportunity for students to experience the entrepreneurial process from concept to sales.

Why: The goal of Young Entrepreneurship Day is to inspire creativity, nurture business acumen, and promote leadership skills among young people. By providing a platform for students to market their products and services, we aim to foster confidence, encourage innovation, and strengthen community ties. Additionally, this event seeks to engage families and community members in supporting local youth and their ventures.

Where: The event will be held at Riverside Church, 2650 Park St, Jacksonville, FL 32204. This central location offers ample space for vendors and attendees, creating an inviting environment for community engagement and interaction.

Objectives: Encourage Student Entrepreneurship and Creativity: Provide students with the opportunity to explore their interests, develop products, and experience running a business.

Showcase and Sell Products/Services: Offer a marketplace where young entrepreneurs can present and sell their creations, gaining real-world business experience.

Engage the Community and Promote Local Talent: Foster a sense of community by inviting local families and community members to participate and support young entrepreneurs.

Important Note: To secure a spot, there is a small, non-refundable booth fee that ensures your vested interest in attending: $5 for FRLC Community Families $10 for Non-FRLC Community This small fee helps us keep the event organized and ensures that every spot is filled by enthusiastic young entrepreneurs ready to share their businesses with the community!

March 1st – Event Day: Vendor setup: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM. Event open: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Cleanup and breakdown: 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM.

Student Vendor Ideas:

·         Handmade crafts (jewelry, art, keychains)

·          Baked goods or simple snacks

·         Custom T-shirts or prints

·          DIY slime kits or toys

·         Small plants or flower arrangements

·         Services like face painting or temporary tattoos

·         Tech demos or app showcases (older students)
