What We Believe
We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative
Word of God. When rightly divided and properly interpreted, it provides sufficient revelation for the church to be complete in doctrine, maturity, ministry and worship.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His
sinless life, in His miracles, and His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection from the dead, in His ascension back to the Father’s right hand to make intercession for believers, and in His Second Coming to rule and reign in power and glory.
We believe all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, therefore, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is necessary for the salvation of lost man and this miracle is wrought through simple faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
We believe in Sanctification to be a new quality of life in Christ that commences at the new birth, develops through a growing process, and consummates at the appearing of Christ when all believers will be glorified.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the believer is enabled to live a victorious life and demonstrate Christ-like maturity.
We believe in the Spirit-filled life that begins at the Baptism of the Spirit and is enhanced through multiple post-conversion experiences and is maintained through continual obedience to the Word of God.
We believe in the present operation of the gifts of the Spirit that are listed in the New Testament and expect and encourage all believers to exercise their spiritual gifts to the edifying of the body of Christ.
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: they that are saved will experience resurrection unto life and glory, the lost will experience resurrection unto eternal death and damnation.
We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers; that each Christian, regardless of local congregational affiliation, is a member of the body of Christ and is worthy to be called a “brother” or “sister” in Christ.
We believe that Holy Communion and Water Baptism are the two precious ordinances Christ gave to His Church. Water Baptism is by immersion in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost and is for individuals who have come to the conscious decision of faith in Christ. Holy Communion is a sacred supper whereby believers partake of the presence of Christ in a unique fashion through the elements of wine and bread.
We believe in holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people and that holiness is defined by the example of Christ, the teachings of the New Testament and the moral attributes of God.
We believe that God provides divine healing for His suffering people in answer to believing prayer; and this healing may be instant, progressive or ultimate healing.
We believe in the pre-millennial Second Coming of Jesus to establish the promised Kingdom of God on the earth, to reign for 1,000 years, and to prepare humanity for an eternal state in which there will be a new heaven and earth and the City of God, the New Jerusalem, will descend to earth for God to dwell forever in perfect harmony with His creation.
