Chippewa Valley Lightning Bolts Athletic Code

Our team philosophy recognizes that God is our Creator and that we were created by Him to bring Him glory.  We do this by yielding our running talents and abilities to be used by God for His honor.  We are called the "Lightning Bolts" to reflect God revealing Himself many times in the Scriptures in various forms of light.

1. I understand that Chippewa Valley Lightning Bolts serves middle and high school homeschooling athletes (cross country and summer running grades 6-12th and track grades 7-12th as of the fall) in the Eau Claire, WI area with an opportunity to train, run, compete and enjoy the lifetime sport of running.  This team is offered to provide mutual encouragement in pursuing your running goals.  

2. I understand that a sports physical will be required for all athletes the 1st and 3rd years on the team through my health care professional. 

3. I understand that I am required to be in good academic standing as determined by my parents and/or teacher. 

4. I understand that I must participate and complete all team and home practices to compete in competitions. 

5. I understand that each athlete and their family members must act with proper sportsmanship towards teammates, coaches, officials, and competitors.  Failure to do so will prohibit me from participating at a meet and/or on the team.

6. I understand that the use, possession, or buying/selling of alcohol, tobacco, or any other illegal or banned substance immediately suspends me from the CVLB team for 6 months from the date of offense. 

7. I understand that if I have been suspended or expelled from any school I am ineligible to participate in CVLB for 6 months following the suspension/expulsion.

8. I understand that the outcome of anything not addressed specifically in the previous statements will be determined by the coaches and the Parent Committee.
