Tesha Christensen Pettit To All Instructors

Tesha M. Christensen Pettit is a freelance writer and photographer with over 16 years of experience in the journalism industry — more if you count the little newspapers she wrote, designed, and published on her family's first Macintosh computer when she was a kid. In college, she worked for the Bethel College Clarion.

Christensen Pettit served as the assistant editor for 10 years of her hometown newspaper, the STAR newspaper in Cambridge, Minn. She currently writes for the Longfellow/Nokomis Messenger, the St. Paul Monitor, and Twin Cities Daily Planet.

She has taught journalism classes at Anoka-Ramsey Community College and is currently teaching at Planet Homeschool in Minneapolis. She has been thrilled to receive awards for both her articles and photographs from the Minnesota Newspaper Association.

She is a journalist because she loves journalism, and believes it is essential to a free society. You will almost always find her dining room table littered with newspapers.
