Yvette Harvieux To All Instructors
Yvette Harvieux is a ballroom dance instructor at Cinema Ballroom in St. Paul. She teaches kids' Latin/ballroom group classes and private lessons. Yvette has been performing, competing, and teaching dance for over 40 years. She also teaches competition tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and contemporary for Larkin Dance Studio. She loves teaching and watching as kids grow in skills, confidence, and leadership through dance. Highlights of Yvette's dance career include: performing as a featured dancer in the Super Bowl XXVI halftime show, competing through to the semi-final round on the nationally-televised show Star Search, dancing with and coaching for the Minnesota Timberwolves Performance Team, as well as performing professionally for other local and national industrials, shows, and events. She taught a dance course at St. Catherine College while obtaining her B.S. in Food Science from the University of Minnesota. Yvette currently continues to perform and is also a competitive mountain biker, Ironman triathlete, marathon runner, and rock climber. Yvette and her husband have three girls, all of whom are avid readers and proud math/science geeks; one each in middle school, high school and the eldest is in college at the U of MN, College of Science and Engineering.
