Lauren Britton To All Instructors

Lauren Britton attended Roanoke College as an honors student and graduated summa cum laude in 2005 with a B.B.A. including double concentrations in Accounting and Finance. After graduation she married her perfect match, Michael, and worked as a business analyst for Carilion Biomedical Institute and later as an accountant at Shenandoah Baptist Church. God blessed Lauren and Michael with 5 beautiful children. The calling to homeschool began in 2011 and continues to this day.  Mrs. Britton has taught math in the public school system as an after school remedial tutor. She has also taught at local homeschool co-ops since 2014. Most recently she has taught middle school history, science and geography. Mrs. Britton enjoys teaching a variety of subjects to different ages with the common thread of finding unique ways that click with the individual student. Incorporating and shining the spotlight on God within each subject is by far her favorite part of homeschooling.

Mrs. Britton has always called this beautiful area home, and currently she lives with her family and three Golden Retrievers on a small farm where they garden and raise cows, rabbits, chickens, and quail.

Mrs. Britton likes: a good book recommendation (especially historical fiction), gardening and plants, Lily’s chocolate, a cup of warm tea, Papa O’s Pizza, Starbucks and of course Chick-fil-A.
