About ACA

Founded in 2001, Alliance Christian Academy (ACA) is an academic center that supports homeschool families by offering a-la-carte college-prep classes for students in grades 7–12. Our tutors are experts in their subjects and are passionate about seeing their students succeed, often giving individualized attention when needed. ACA provides a safe and structured learning environment as well as fun activities to promote community where students can build lifelong friendships.

In addition to classes, ACA offers assistance to parents in creating high school class schedules, preparing transcripts, and guidance for entry to college.

ACA is a Christian educational body and all subjects are taught from a Christian worldview.  Our conviction is, “Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the Lord” (Proverbs 16:20). We believe it is the parents’ responsibility to choose the courses and methods of education that they believe are most appropriate for their own children, and to hold their children accountable for both their behavior and their academic work. We also believe that the Lordship of Jesus Christ imposes upon us the obligation to pursue excellence in every academic activity.

ACA meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church.

Mission Statement: Alliance Christian Academy is an alliance of parents and tutors seeking academic excellence for homeschooled students under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We are committed to coming alongside parents to assist in broadening the educational opportunities of middle and high school home-schooled students.

Statement of Faith:

Alliance Christian Academy has a Christian emphasis with a Biblical worldview, as evidenced by this Statement of Faith. This document was created to ensure that current and prospective families have a clear understanding of the tenets that inform and guide us. Alliance Christian Academy exists as a learning center (not a school); created and run from a Christian perspective by parents committed to protecting and educating and spiritually ministering to our students. All classes are taught from a Biblical Worldview. Science is taught from a Creation Worldview.

We believe:

Bible- The Bible is God’s only written Word to the world, speaking to us with authority and without error.

God- There is one God, the creator of all things, existing in three Persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit (the trinity).

Jesus Christ- Jesus Christ is God’s son; born of a virgin. We believe that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh; the second and equal member of the trinity; revealing God’s nature to humanity by living a sinless life. He was crucified on the cross as a sacrifice for the sins of the world; rose from the dead, ascended to heaven and will return in His glory to claim this earth for God’s kingdom.

Holy Spirit- We believe in the Holy Spirit as the third and equal member of the trinity. He was given to us as our advocate, our power for living a Christian life, and our helper for understanding spiritual truth. We believe in the necessity of regeneration of the Holy Spirit due to the sinful nature of mankind and His indwelling power for those who are saved.

Humanity- All mankind was created by God, in His image as either biologically male or biologically female from the womb, to live in fellowship with Him. These two distinct biological sexes, together, through the sanctity of marriage is defined as the uniting of one man and one woman in a single exclusive union as delineated in Scripture. These two distinct biological sexes, together, through the sanctity of marriage, reflect the image and nature of God and His relationship with the Church. Any rejection of these tenets of God’s created order is considered sin according to Scripture.

Sin- Humanity’s fellowship with God was broken when sin entered the world. All mankind is lost in sin, separated from God and needs to turn from sin and trust in Jesus Christ, to be born anew by the Holy Spirit’s power into God’s family. We, as Christians, are commanded to refrain from engaging in open and unrepentant sin, including but not limited to rejection of the Biblical teachings on marriage, the family, human sexuality and the creation of human beings as biologically male and biologically female from the womb.

Salvation-Salvation comes through faith alone through the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross, which provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins. Salvation is a free gift; it cannot be earned, and occurs when a person places his faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as the Lord and Savior of his life.

The Church- Jesus Christ is the head of the church. Those who are saved are the members of its body. The Church exists to glorify God and its members are to live for Christ, not for themselves.

Sanctification- There is unity for all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, and we seek community together. Jesus is the head of His body, the Church, and we want to become more like Him in every way. We are called to love Him and one another and are enabled to do this only as His life flows in and through us.

This statement does not exhaust the extent of Alliance Christian Academy’s beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of Alliance Christian Academy’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Board of Trustees is Alliance Christian Academy’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
