Axis Homeschool Group & Co-op Axis

FAQs

Q:

What do I need to know about co-op?

A:

What is co-op?

Co-op is a cooperative learning environment where a class setting is offered to homeschool students. Parents are still very much involved.

What are the fees?

Registration for Axis is an annual fee of $100.00. This fee includes one day of co-op classes (not including class fees, required curriculum and/ or supplies, which can be found in the class descriptions on the schedule) and access to our website and all Axis field trips and events.

An additional day of co-op is $100.

Who teaches co-op classes?

Co-op classes are taught by SLCC staff and Axis member volunteers. All teachers are vetted and background checked before the start of the school year.

Is this a drop off?

No. Axis is not a drop off. Parents/ guardians are required to stay on campus and serve in some capacity during the co-op day. As long as your child is here, so are you.

What do you mean parents have to serve?

All parents will be assigned jobs at the start of the year. Many hands make light work. You'll sign up for your preferred job in the family registration page, and our leadership team will do their best to assign that job to you... unless we need you someplace else. :)
