Alison Amaismeier To All Instructors

After graduating from Allegheny College with a bachelor's degree in geology, Alison worked in environmental consulting for over 10 years. During that time, she completed investigations of soil, bedrock, and surface and groundwater in support of landfill, environmental remediation, and water supply projects. Alison is excited to instill a desire to understand and wisely steward the Earth's resources in our middle school students at SFEA!

Alison holds an old Earth creationism (non-evolutionary) perspective but strives to present information from both a young and old Earth perspective in her classes. She believes that, although the age of the earth and the origin of species are often sensitive and divisive topics, it is important for Christians to be informed about them, so she challenges her students to think critically about the information they are reading or hearing from secular sources.
