8. The purpose of community day is to facilitate homeschool classes. The classes consist of 8-10 children in each class and at least two adults. It can be loud and it can be messy. We expect all the children who participate to treat each other courteously, not distract others, stay in chairs, and follow directions. During recess, children are encouraged to play and interact with each other under the supervision of their parents. Kids are learning and practicing behaviors and we want this to be a safe place to learn. Our parents are homeschooling parents just like you, some with no special training in education or student management. We welcome students with special needs and aides if needed. We ask each new family to consider how their student will respond in these environments with this kind of guidance and determine whether this will be a good fit for your student. If you feel that your student(s) might need special accommodations in these kinds of environments, please comment in the box below so that we can determine if we can work together to make this a positive place for all. 9.

Payment Instructions

Please submit the Civitas 2024-2025 Membership payment of $50 via PayPal to classicalcivitas@gmail.com. If for any reason your membership request or renewal is denied, this money will be refunded to you. Once you become a member, this membership fee cannot be refunded. This is for the family membership fee only. If you choose to enroll in the classes once you are a member, you will be invoiced $150 per student for class fees. If for some reason your students need to withdraw from classes, you can request a refund from the Civitas board and they will make a ruling on individual circumstances and timing.
