Mission Statement

HERE MISSION STATEMENT 

HERE is a Christian homeschool support group that?has a mission of assisting local families in their pursuit to home educate their children by providing enrichment and recreational opportunities to homeschooled students. ?Our group’s mission is to increase parental support and add quality experiences to our homeschools. Our desire is to create a sense of fellowship with other homeschooling families by becoming a part of the greater HERE homeschool community bringing benefit to all the members. 

We value our privilege to homeschool as the best way to influence our children's spiritual walks through early life. We also know that, as their parents, we know our children best, and thus recognize that we can present the best academic environment in which their individual learning strengths and weaknesses can be nurtured. Though it is NOT required that a member of HERE be a follower of Jesus Christ, it must be understood that HERE was founded and continues to function through faith in, and prayer to, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (Voting Board members must be faith-professing Christians who sign a Statement of Faith and have been a member in good standing during the past membership year. See our Bylaws on the Member Documents section of our website) 

As individual homeschooling families, it is our mission to raise our children in light of Deuteronomy 6:4-7. 

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.? Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.? These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.? Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.”? Deuteronomy 6:4-7 (NIV)
