General Information

Our main mission is the enrichment co-op run by parent volunteers. However, we do also provide play time for families to form friendships and collaborate through dialogue. Membership to CHRISM grants you access to the Park Play Calendar and any other specially planned activities outside of the co-op, such as field trip opportunities, though not scheduled regularly. As such, membership to CHRISM does not automatically guarantee a spot in our enrichment program, though it is required before you can enroll for the co-op.

Membership is open year-round. However, the co-op enrollment, which is seperate, is available on a first come, first serve basis during the Fall and Spring Term. Registration for these classes can be found within the member login page.

When considering participating in the enrichment program, please review our Statement of Faith. You may also wish to review the Forms and Documents to assure your family is willing to make the commitment required.

We wish to assist you on your homeschool journey and would love to answer any questions you may have. Feel free to reach out to us to visit us in person on a Park Play day by emailing Isis at p.ipinero@chrismhomeschool.net.

A Typical Co-op Day

Classes are broken up into small groups by age. Students spend about 50 minutes in each class as they discuss, build, explore, create and experiment. Between classes, students walk together to the next class with a designated adult. At the end of the three classes, students meet together in the Youth Center for lunch before heading to the park nearby (optional for those who want to participate)

 The 4-year Cycle

The enrichment co-op was established as a four-year cycle based on the classical model while also embracing Charlotte Mason methods. Our members, however, are varied in their educational philosophies and we encourage learning about best practices in home education through dialogue with one another, welcoming all types of homeschooling styles and philosophies. It is not necessary to wait for the cycle to begin in order to join as the subject matter is cyclical and will be revisited in following years. Year 4 studies will begin in the 2022-2023 academic year.
