We are so excited that your family is interested in joining Naked Apple Tribe for your homeschool support needs. Naked Apple Tribe is a parent-led co-op that meets one day a week on Wednesdays from 9:00am - 2:30pm. We meet weekly except the second week of the month from the second week of September through the second week of May. Parents and/or guardians are expected to participate by helping assist in classes, teaching, and completing jobs throughout the day. Naked Apple is not a drop-off co-op and is not meant to replace homeschooling, but rather is be a complement to the schooling you are doing at home. Our goal is to encourage and support you to be able to better serve your families in your homeschool journey.

1. Time Commitment

By becoming a member of Naked Apple, I acknowledge that I, as a parent, will serve at least two hours each week as a teacher or teacher's assistant. Note: Members are not required to teach a class, only to volunteer as an assistant. I agree with the above statement

2. Teaching Commitment

As a teacher, should I not be able to attend co-op and facilitate my weekly class, I will ensure that I have a substitute plan at co-op. If I do not, I will do my best to have materials ready and available for my class to use. I will also notify Naked Apple of my absence by commenting on the Facebook absences post, and I will notify the Lead Teacher of any sub plan changes. I agree with the above statement

3. Attendance Commitment

I commit to fulfilling my weekly duties to keep the cooperative spirit of Naked Apple alive, and to minimizing disruptions to our children’s classes. Naked Apple recognizes that there may be unforeseen events that occur, however, I understand that recurring absences will result in my membership being put on probation for next year. If my absences continue to be impactful then I understand I will be asked to switch to the community option until I can adhere to the attendance policy. I agree with the above statement

4. Handbook

5. Code of Conduct

Naked Apple Tribe is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members. The co-op believes that it is important that children and parents associated with the co-op should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with Leadership.

As a member of Naked Apple Tribe, you are expected to abide by the following code of conduct:

Be respectful and friendly to peers and adults
Keep within the defined boundary of the school area.
Behave and listen to all instructions from the teachers and parents.
Be respectful and take care of our classrooms and facility.
Refrain from the use of bad language or racial/sectarian references. This includes bullying using new technologies like chat-rooms or texting.
Refrain from bullying or persistent use of rough, violent, and dangerous play.
Students and parents should be on time to the start of co-op and each class block.
Keep themselves safe.
Report inappropriate, bullying, and risky behavior to an adult.

Persistent misbehavior will result in dismissal from the co-op. Parents will be informed at all stages. Dismissals can be appealed by the parent/child with final decisions taken by the co-op leadership. I agree with the above statement

6. Photo Release

I consent to the photographs or videos taken of my chidren during Naked Apple Tribe co-op days and activities. These pictures may be used in but not limited to Naked Apple Tribe’s yearbook, brochures, website, social media, etc. When any pictures of students do appear on the web site there will not be any personal identification (i.e., student name). Furthermore, I consent that such photographs and or videos shall be the property of Naked Apple Tribe which has the right to duplicate, reproduce, and make other uses as Naked Apple Tribe deems necessary.
