Welcome to the Rainy River Homeschool Journey! 

 

We are so glad to have you as part of the group. We look forward to coming alongside each other to share our gifts and talents and to encourage each other in our own homeschool journeys. As we journey together weekly, we hope to offer group activities for preschool through high school, sports and field trips. We also plan to have a supervised nursery area for the littlest ones of our group.

We are updating our model starting January 2025! 

 


 

With each of the classes and activities that we offer we will strive to encourage:

  • Respect for each other

  • Teaching, presenting and interacting in a way that is in line with Christian values 

  • Working together to support each other and each other's children


 

Let’s Work Together!

It is going to take all of us working together to be able to offer this experience to our children. We will need parental involvement from everyone. The beauty of a group is that we can all bring different skills and time commitments and can complement each other. Each part of the body is valuable! The planning committee is volunteering many hours to set up the back end of this group and getting all of the pieces moving together but we need volunteers to help in all kinds of ways!

 

Ways you can be involved: 

  • Share your skills and interests! We are hoping to add in classes, workshops, crafts and activities as parents feel called to lead. Let the planning team know if you would like to lead something. It could be for a week, or several weeks. RRHJ has funds to help with the costs for running activities. 

  • Offer to help with a class that is being run! Extra volunteers for running a class is always appreciated.

  • Behind the scenes work

    • Setting up for activities

    • Cleaning up after activities

    • Photocopying, printing, prepping materials

  • Helping with sports/gym time

    • Teaching rules, techniques

      • Could volunteer to teach a particular sport

  • Offer ideas

    • Field trip locations

    • Resources to borrow

  • Planning Parties and Events

    • A volunteer to facilitate a Christmas Party, etc

      • Will require multiple volunteers

  • Helping with the nursery

    • Setting up

    • Cleaning up

    • Playing or reading with the children

Registration Options

All pricing is PER FAMILY

  • $75/family for January - May for Casual Weekly Gathering Time. Fee covers misc. supplies, arena rental, and a donation to church for use of space. 
  • Come out for the first time free
  • Email Communication Registration Only. We’ll send you notice of all Events & Field Trips, which may have an additional fee, depending on the event & location. $13/year

Methods, Commitment & Timing of Payments

We will strive to remain flexible in our way of offering memberships, and accepting payments.

If there are Field Trips ahead that require a registration fee, we will insert those on this site as well for ease of payment. 

You will be able to see your open invoices and payments under your membership page. If you have any further questions on finances, please contact Kim!
