Hope Membership Registration Instructions
Our purpose is to Help Other Parents Educate. In order to do this more successfully, we would like to get to know you better. Your involvement makes HOPE a better group.
Note: None of the registration information we collect will be shared outside of HOPE.
Part 1: Member Information
One of the ways that HOPE keeps our annual fee as low as possible is the use of email and the website: http://www.homeschool-life.com/MN/HOPE for most communication. While having an email address is not an absolute requirement, it does provide you with more complete and up-to-date information than mailings. Please send any changes in your home address, phone number or email address to: hope.sandstonemn@gmail.com
In order to help us plan appropriate activities for different age/grade levels, please provide age information based on a date of September 1 this year.
In order to know if we qualify for group membership discounts, it is helpful to know who in our membership also participates in other groups.
HOPE would be happy to help you better understand Minnesota's homeschooling requirements and encourages membership in HSLDA.
In order to best assist families who are transitioning from other schooling methods to homeschooling, it is helpful to know your previous experience. You may check more than one, if applicable.
Please note: HOPE was founded to help parents fulfill their God-given right and responsibility to educate their children. As homeschooling parents, we desire to come together with other believers to support each other in homeschooling. We choose to focus on what we have in common as members of the body of Christ, rather than denominational differences. Sharing information regarding church affiliation will not be used in a divisive manner, but to possibly help other member families plug in with like-minded families.
Part 2: Volunteer Information
Remembering that many hands make light work and that we’re all busy homeschoolers… we ask that at least one parent from each family volunteer and serve within our group. Whether you're most comfortable working behind the scenes, organizing major events, or serving at our meetings and activities, we appreciate and rely on your help.
Part 3: Fees
Where does my money go? Your annual fees will be used as needed by the group. This may include, but is not limited to:
Materials for in-house activities
Donations for use of facilities
Printed materials
Gatherings and fellowship events
