Scripture Principles
The following Scriptures provide guiding principles for our co-op:
-
Proverbs 9:10: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.”
There is no higher wisdom than fearing the Lord. He is the beginning of all insight, which means our goal in our academic pursuits is to point back to Him as Creator God.
-
Psalm 16:11: “You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy.”
Direction and joy for a full life come from seeking God’s path and presence. -
Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go, even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
First and foremost, we want to direct our children to the Savior. We aim to train them to know and obey God as the basis for pleasing Him and living victoriously in Christ.
-
Deuteronomy 6:5-9: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.”
Training is a lifestyle, not a curriculum. We teach our children how to love and live for God when we are living it out in daily life.
-
Isaiah 54:3: “All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.”
True peace comes from being taught by God in His ways.
