PATH Statement of Faith
I. The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and constitutes complete and final revelation. The Bible, in its original autograph, is without error in whole and in part, including theological concepts as well as geographical and historical details. • II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21
II. God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ, God’s only son, born of a virgin, was God come in human flesh being fully God and fully man without sin. • Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14; John 1:1, 14; Hebrews 4:15
III. All men are in violation of God’s righteous requirements and His Holy Character both by nature and actions; and are therefore under His wrath and just condemnation. The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man’s sin through His substitutionary death on the cross---the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His subsequent visible, bodily resurrection.
IV. Salvation is offered as a gift; free to the sinner, so that they may be born again. Salvation is not based on personal works whatsoever, but the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone. Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man. • John 3:3,7; Romans 3:20,24,28; 5:1,11,18; 6:23; 7:4; 10:4,9,10; I Timothy 2:5
V. We believe in absolute moral truth, which is based on God’s immutable character. We believe in a literal 6 day creation, that man was created in God’s image, the fall of man, and that the sanctity of marriage is between a man and a woman. • Genesis 1
VI. We reject the anti-Christian tenets of secular humanism, including but not limited to, the theory of evolution, abortion, and the promotion of homosexuality as an alternate, acceptable lifestyle, and the existence of any gender other than male and female as created by God. The Bible is our standard of truth.
Due to the Christian worldview perspective presented in the teaching, texts, and assignments in this program, carefully read and consider the statement of faith before joining our group.
