Mrs. Dorothy Trocke To All Instructors
Hello.
I first started homeschooling when my son, Sam, was 3. It has been a fantastic journey. Our home curriculum was Tapestry of Grace. It is a Classical Christian curriculum that uses history as its spine.
We started attending HERO when Sam was in 7th grade. He wanted to play the Trumpet. Sam graduated with the HERO class of 2024.
As an undergrad, I attended the University of Wisconsin - Platteville. I double majored in Business Administration and Computer Science. It is here where I met the love of my life, Tom. I earned my MBA in 2005 from the Carlson School at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. I worked in the corporate world in Information Technology and later upper management until Sam was born. I started teaching at HERO in 2021.
While I am confident teaching most academic courses, I have truly found my home in the humanities. I love teaching history, the Bible, literature, and speech. My passion is to witness my students not only learn the subject I am teaching but also enjoy the subject matter being taught. It is when we move from students being vessels to be filled to lamps to be lit that I find my work joyful and most fulfilling.
I consider it my honor and privilege to have the opportunity to come alongside of you to educate your child.
