Servant Leader Values
-
Our leaders would come from a common foundation of a strong, personal faith and relationship in Jesus Christ and be in agreement with our statement of faith, servant leader values, and the mission of Rise Up.
-
We put God first, relationships second, and business third.
-
Our primary purpose is Biblical education.
-
We strive to make Rise Up as financially accessible as possible for as many families as possible.
-
We have excellence in everything we do as servant leaders and contracted independent instructors (with a covering of grace): Professional, Intentional, Prepared, and Approachable
-
We support and have our instructor’s backs. We practice the Biblical model of conflict resolution outlined in Matthew 18:15-35.
-
Step One: Work it out directly with the person you are in conflict with.
-
Step Two: Pull in 2-3 others directly related to the conflict.
-
Step Three: Pull in Rise Up leadership.
-
Step Four: Removal from the organization.
-
Forgiveness and mercy are always the preferred outcome.
-
-
“The power of life and death are in the tongue.” Proverbs 18:21 We speak life over our organization, the students, the families, and the instructors who attend. We refrain from gossip and seek to represent our organization the way Christ would when we are present and elsewhere.
-
Our heart as servant leaders is to take excellent care of all leadership through whatever means are available in each season of the organization.
-
We will be good stewards of any and all resources our organization is blessed to use, including facilities, supplies, and talents.
-
We will make decisions that allow this organization to continue in a healthy manner after we, ourselves, are not in leadership. We make decisions that allow our positions to be replicated and passed from generation to generation, so as to continue to be a blessing and support to the families we serve.
-
We value ourselves and each other and recognize that when we take responsibility for ourselves, we invite others to do the same. We welcome Christ’s refining of us to become more and more like Him every single day.
-
We continually ask how we can add value to, better support, and encourage our internal leadership, instructors, parents, students, and community of Rise Up.
-
We believe and uphold God’s definition of gender and marriage as described in the Bible:
-
“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” (Genesis 1:27 NIV)
-
“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’?” (Matthew 19:4-5 NIV)
