FAQs

Q:

Where do I find information on homeschooling in Texas?

A:

It's so awesome that you are considering homeschooling. Here are some great websites for more information about the laws in Texas for homeschooling.

https://hslda.org/legal/texas and https://thsc.org/texas-homeschool-laws/

Q:

Is there a fee to join Wild Wonder Co Op

A:

We have a yearly fee of $20 per family when joining. Classes and supply fees will vary per class and teacher. Field trips, Parties and Events are subject to seperate fees throughout the year.

Q:

What does the yearly family fee cover?

A:

The yearly family fee covers administration fees such as website, insurance and building fees.

Q:

I would love to join! How do I become a member?

A:

We are so happy you want to join. A few things to consider. We are an inclusive and accepting group. We have members of all faiths, beliefs, political views, health views, parenting views, and there is an expectation that we will all be respectfull of everybody. This particular co op is Secular and we choose to not involve or discuss religion during classes or activities.

Next, fill out the application and pay membership fees. Then, you'll have full access to our calendar and classes to sign up!

Q:

Do you offer refunds?

A:

Unfortuanately, we do not offer refunds on any membership dues or any other fees. You are more than welcome to resell your tickets if your schedule changes or something comes up, but to be considerate of our volunteers and teachers time, we don't offer refunds. The only exception is if a field trip or event is canceled and not rescheduled, or if we don't meet a minimum requirement  for a field trip.

Q:

Can my company donate or sponsor an event for Wild Wonder Co op Homeschoolers?

A:

Absolutely! We are currently waiting on our 501c3 approval but you can always send us an email with donation or sponsorship opportunities! We always promote our sponsors across our social media platforms and throughout the community.

Q:

How do we resolve disagreements in the group?

A:

Our group is not here to parent you or your children and we never want to ask anybody to leave. If there are disagreements within the group (things are bound to come up) we ask for families to please try and resolve them between themselves. If you're unable to find a solution and it's a consistent issue then you're more than welcome to bring it to our board and well try and come up with a solution that works best for everybody involved and the group.
