There will be a fee required for each individual class and will be published at the time of registration.
Payment must be made in full 18 days prior to classes starting or the classes I have signed up for may be given to the next child on the waitlist.
There is a registration fee that will need to be paid in order to enroll every semester.

14. Cancellations

If a registered family or Scholar leaves the Academy within the designated two-week period,
monies – less any expenses incurred, will be refunded. After the two-week period, no refund
will be given. Cancellations requested after the class begins will be refunded directly from
the Mentor in charge of the class.

Scholars are expected to make every effort to attend their scheduled classes.
Families are required to notify each class’s Mentor of all planned and unplanned absences.

Scholars need to be in their scheduled class. If a scholar has a gap in their scedule, the parent must contact the chairman.

RedStone Leadership Academy will not be responsible for a Scholar who leaves the premises
without permission.
When school ends for the day, Scholars are expected to help clean up and follow
through with their responsibilities.
Families are required to pick up their Scholars promptly and will not be allowed to
loiter after classes have ended.

REDSTONE LEADERSHIP ACADEMY SCHOLAR CONTRACT

(To be signed by scholars and parents each year.)

As Parents, Mentors, and Scholars of RedStone Leadership Academy, it is expected that you will exhibit certain qualities in character. These are not limited to, but include the following:

APPEARANCE AND DRESS STANDARDS: We expect mentors and scholars to dress respectfully and modestly. Scholars are expected to be covered. Please do not wear clothing that is sheer (meaning you can see through it), overly tight or revealing. Short shorts and mini skirts are not permitted. Shorts must be mid-thigh or longer. A shirt should cover the stomach, shoulders, chest and back. Low-cut shirts showing excessive cleavage or the back are not permitted. Pants should fit you and not hang below your hip line. Clothing should not be tight or revealing. Clothing should not have any vulgar images, language or curse words written on them. Appearance sends a strong message about who you are and how you respect yourself. Young men and young women should be neat and clean in appearance. Brush your hair and teeth every day, and wear deodorant. As you make decisions about your clothing, hairstyle, and appearance, ask yourself, “Would I feel comfortable with my appearance if I were in the Lord’s presence?” “Am I honoring my body as a sacred gift from God?” Heavenly Father wants us to see each other for who we really are: not just physical bodies but His beloved children with a divine destiny. Avoid styles that emphasize or draw inappropriate attention to your physical body instead of who you are as a child of God with an eternal future. Let moral cleanliness and love for God guide your choices.”

RESPECTFUL LANGUAGE: Please always strive to speak kindly and positively about others. Choose not to insult, put down or gossip about others. Please avoid speaking in anger. If you need to speak with someone about a sensitive issue, please find time to resolve the conflict face to face in a dignified manner. It is a golden rule that if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say it at all. Do not use profanity, vulgarity or crude language of any kind. Always gesture kindly, and do not tell jokes or stories about immoral actions.

RESPECT OF OTHERS: We know that we are all different and come from many different backgrounds and upbringings. Please always be respectful and honoring towards one another when it comes to discussion or debate. Physically conduct yourself in a respectful manner. Avoid inappropriate displays of affection. Matters of concern will be brought to the attention of the parents.

RESPECT FOR THE FACILITIES: Your behavior reflects on RedStone Leadership Academy, our community as well as the homeschool community in general. Let us always conduct ourselves in a way that is courteous and respectful. We are very blessed to find buildings and facilities that are home-school friendly. Let us be mindful of our behavior so as not to disturb others using the facility and the surrounding areas. As Leaders, Mentors, Parents, and Scholars, it is expected that all will contribute to the cleanliness and care of the building and any other area visited during school time.

REDSTONE LEADERSHIP HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT

I understand that participation in Fire Canyon Academy and activities involves a certain degree of risk that could result in injury or death. In consideration of the benefits to be derived, after carefully considering the risk involved, and in view of the fact that the RedStone Leadership Academy is a non-profit organization in which membership is voluntary, I have carefully considered the risk involved and have given consent for myself (or my son or daughter as listed on RedStone Leadership's Registration Form) to participate in the activity, and waive all claims I or we may have against the RedStone Leadership Academy, the Board, the activity coordinators, and all volunteers, and or related parties, or other organizations associated with any activity. I am not under the influence of any chemical substance, including alcohol. I understand that any physical activity involves a risk of injury. I understand that my participation (or my allowing the participation of my son or daughter as listed on RedStone Leadership's Registration Form) in the activity is entirely voluntary. I release RedStone Leadership Academy, the Board, the activity coordinators, and all the volunteers, or any related parties or other organizations associated with the activity from any and all claims or liability arising out of this participation. This release does not, however, apply to any harm caused by negligence or willful misconduct of the RLA Board, or its volunteers and the organizers of any event including regular school days. In case of an emergency involving my child, I understand every effort will be made to contact me as stated on the RedStone Leadership Academy Registration Form. In the event I cannot be reached, I hereby give my permission to the physician selected by the adult leader in charge to secure proper treatment, including hospitalization, anesthesia, surgery, or injections of medication for my child.

I have read this release before signing below, and I fully understand the contents, meaning and impact of this release. I understand that I am free to address any specific questions regarding this release by speaking to an admin of the FCA board prior to signing, and I agree that my failure to do so will be interpreted as a free and knowledgeable acceptance of the terms of this release.

19. RLA is a Christian based community that encourages students and families to pray, seek to strengthen their relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Study in your core value books (Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, Tora, ect.) and discussion of spiritual experiences may be encouraged in many of the classes offered here.
