Mission Statement

Mission Statement of Bay Area Catholic Homeschoolers

Through the guidance of the Holy Family, Bay Area Catholic Homeschoolers (BACH) is an association of lay faithful, Roman Catholic homeschooling parents established to promote and support those families who are engaged in providing their children’s religious, academic, moral, cultural, and social formation.  BACH accepts families who are actively enrolled in the RCIA program in their parish or where one of the spouses is Catholic and the children are being raised Catholic.

BACH has as its foundation and guiding principle total fidelity to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, primarily to the Holy See of Peter, and to the diocesan bishop teaching in communion with him. Through the functions and activities of BACH, it is the express wish that each of the faithful strive toward sanctification along the pathway of life that will bring us to our heavenly home in the company of the blessed Angels and Saints.  BACH is a Roman Catholic Homeschool group.

“Since parents have conferred life on their children they have a most solemn obligation to educate their offspring. Hence, parents must be acknowledged as the first and foremost educators of their children. Their role as educators is so decisive that scarcely anything can compensate for their failure in it.” (Gravissimum Educationis #3)
