Music Teacher
All children, ages seven and up, will be invited to participate in one of three different choirs. An audition is required if a child wishes to be considered for the Concert and/or Youth Chorus. Rehearsals are Monday evenings during the school year. They also offer a summer choral camp.
There are three choirs within the Bach Chorale Children's Choir organization:
Prelude Choir - This choir, consisting of children seven years old and up, includes those who have a strong desire to sing and are eager to learn vocal technique, sight-reading and performance skills. As these children explore their interest in singing, practices will be focused on fun, with singing and movement the primary guide to building musicianship.
Concert Choir - Based on ability and not age, this choir consists of children and youth who are able to produce a beautiful tone quality, have a good ability to read music and are able to sing harmony independently. They will sing challenging, quality music literature chosen to delight themselves and their audiences.
Youth Choir - This choir consists of our most advanced Concert Choir singers. Members of the Concert Choir may choose to audition for this ensemble, and if chosen, will have performance opportunities beyond that of the Concert Choir.
Auditions are held in January and August. Please contact Darcy Keegan - bachchildrenschoir@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like to audition.
More information is on their website: http://www.bachchoralechildrenschoir.org/index.html
SMALL GROUPS- educational and noneducational based
A small group is a group of homeschooling families who get together for field trips, play days, and supporting one another. You can click on Small Groups to learn about the various small groups in this area.
CO-OPS
A co-op differs from a small group in that the parents take turns teaching different subjects to a group of children. The strength of co-ops is that you can cover subjects that are hard to do at home such as debate, speech, drama, etc.

Lafayette Christian Co -op
To join together provide a Christian environment to expose ourselves and children to public speaking, to enjoy art projects together, to learn new things in hands-on science experiments, to teach those classes that are difficult or time consuming to teach on our own, and to foster close friendships on a foundation of Christ. All for the goal of glorifying God by sharpening our children like arrows, training them in the ways of the Lord, and supporting each other in our homeschooling journey.

Classical Conversations Communitites
Across the nation, Classical Conversations Communities exist to complement your home-centered education and connect you with like-minded families. Our community in the Greater Lafayette area is facilitated by a trained parent-director, and classes are led by trained parent-tutors who model the classical tools of learning. Tutors have the privilege of encouraging students toward becoming lifelong learners while also encouraging parents in the classical teaching of their children.
Our three curriculum programs support your home-centered education by providing teaching tools for you, the parent, and quality educational materials for your student. Our guides, books, timeline cards, and multimedia resources have been thoughtfully crafted and selected. The math, science, literature, Latin, history, geography and fine arts studied in our Foundations Program represent a broad and interesting body of information. Our Essentials Program students work toward mastering English language skills and improving their writing technique. As students move into our Challenge Program and work toward becoming independent learners, they read, discuss, debate, analyze and write about award-winning literature—always within the framework of history and a biblical worldview.
For more information, please contact your local support representative, Candace Dunston, at cdunston@classicalconversations.com. You can also find more information at our website, www.classicalconversations.com.
